  • Dr. Z MAZ: New tone bypass option!

Not sure if any of you MAZ owners ever check out the Dr Z forum but I just came across this. Apparently it's an option for the new 2010 amps and you can send in your old MAZ for it too.

I have no idea about prices though -

That couldn't possibly be a good example of the amp's sound. Based on his sleeves, there's clearly 6 feet of rack gear off camera that's processing the tone.

The best tone bypass option is not to buy one in the first place.
The ancient Chinese philosopher Lao Tzu, sometimes called the first libertarian thinker, said, "The more artificial taboos and restrictions there are in the world, the more the people are impoverished. ... The more that laws and regulations are given prominence, the more thieves and robbers there will be."

That opening clip sounded like he was hitting it with an overdrive. Also, why would you want it to break up earlier? The thing breaks up early as it is.

I watched this on the way home yesterday so I listened more than I watched, so I forgot about the cut off sleeves... LOL!

There are a lot of Z owners on the forum so I thought I would post it, but if you guys can't handle the gun show...

Maybe you want it to be dirty?

I'd consider getting this installed on mine, actually if it doesn't cost a ridiculous ammt.

                      I'm always for more options.

Mine doesn't break up much at all, it's pretty clean.

He's using a Brake Lite btw.
