Members Rear Naked Posted October 22, 2008 Members Share Posted October 22, 2008 I know there are some funny dudes here so maybe you guys can make this better I have been wanting to get a Jiu Jitsu tattoo for a while, but i want to stay away from affiliations and team logos and stuff, so i have had a hard time coming up with something cool. Here is an idea i have right now. Its kinda tongue in cheek and fits my sense of retarded humor I want it to say "Pull guard and armbar" in portuguese then next to it (maybe below it?) Im thinking of having a Lion getting armbarred by a {censored}ing Zebra or something retardedly awesome like that maybe a gorilla getting armbarred. i want a fierce predator getting armbarred by its prey kinda thing. maybe the zebra could be saying something like " Nice! I want to teach it and compete internationally. if it doesnt turn out that way, Ill just have a reminder of this thing that i loved so much, and all the great friends i have made through it, and great memories. If want specifically armbar though...finaliza sounds like it just means finish the fight from guard. I want specifically pull guard and armbar becuase its so stereotypically "jiu jitsu" that its funny:lol: also its funny becuase im one of the "guard flopper" or "butt scooters" in the gym lol maybe i could tattoo a silouette of a dude in butt scoot position lol how do you say butt scoot? Right now, tattoos are trendy (no idea why). Sooner or later they won't be and you'll be stuck with a goofy looking gorilla etched into your body. Hopefully I don't want to get in a pissing match here, but I think it's you that doesn't get it. You're young (I assume) and don't yet have the experience to know that things that seem like a good idea when you're 20 can seem really stupid when you're 40. It's a shame to do something so permanent that you may regret later. If Jiu Jitsu's really important to you, get some nice art work you can hang on your wall. You can easily take it down if your tastes change. If I tattooed things on my body that were important to me when I was 20, I'd be embarrassed to go outside now.
