Members DeepEnd
This might be something to watch. A local (St. Louis) musician has developed a tuner pedal with built-in GPS tracking: http://www.stltoday.com/news/local/crime-and-courts/st-louis-musician-hopes-gps-tuning-pedal-can-help-stop/article_558285ec-efc1-5e98-b3de-e3bf82afcc4c.html. It could help bands recover stolen gear.
Members Chris Loeffler
Interesting, for sure, and certainly useful. I'd be curious how successful smart phone finders are in recovering lost/stolen hear. But then there's the weird, somewhat paranoid part of me that doesn't love my every movement tracked I'm not that interesting, but I still find it unnerving when my smart phone sends me unsolicited traffic information in the morning for appointments I never told it I had (based on travel history, I assume). Of course, I suppose as soon as tracking chips become standard thieves will know to pull them.

Of course, I've lost plenty of stuff that I knew was within 10 feet so there's that too.
