Members MarkShovel2
I road tested one for my brother last summer. After 5 minutes of testing I was convinced that it has major mojo! I hope he will eventually sell it to me. Mark

Members stikygum
How in the heck did you pull that off for the price. I'm guessing you knew the guy or found someone that wanted to unload without knowing much about it. Happy B Day! Hey, I'll come over and play you Happy Birthday on your JP8 for you. I can play that for you the whole day if you like.
Members Paolo Di Nicolantonio
That's a steal... congratulations and welcome to the club PS, If you ever decide to MIDIfy it, I highly recommend the Encore MIDI kit for it (MIDI in and MIDI thru), I bought mine with it already installed, and it works well and doesn't create problems. It's nice to be able to sequence fast patterns on the JP-8, not to mention stack synths together...

Members gilwe
Thanks everybody ! In fact, my birthday was a month ago, but as I wanted to get myself a JP8 asap, let's make it my birthday present So the story goes like this - This beautifully kept instrument has been held by a guy who worked with me till about a year ago (a very well known audio company), and brought it over one day so we could use it. I wanted to buy it of course and we agreed of about 1000$ at the time... But he appeared to be not too serious about it and kept telling me he had no time for making the transaction, and all other kind of excuses.... Well, the guy has quit from the particular job, had two kids, and I knew there was a big chance that he would like to sell it eventually (the guy actually sells his entire studio). I gave it a shot yesterday and he agreed to sell it to me right away (for the same price). A short power-up was sufficient to pack the beast and run away He also keeps a MS20 I'm working on getting...
