Members Thurman Munson
What is your favorite softsynth at the current time? I have been researching the main sources for free softsynths and I think have found the majority of the ones that people consider their favorite. At this moment I really like (Superwave). It would be very helpful to know what your favorite softy is. I just want to make sure I have covered the best ones. Thank you for you time and effort. http://home2.btconnect.com/christopherg/main.htmhttp://www.kvraudio.com/get/708.html edit: I just read my post again and realized that I was mainly interested in everyones favorite free softsynth. I made a mistake. It's fine if people want to list their favorites softsynth, free or pay.

Members Reverend Rhythm
How about "One of my favorites" or Some of my favorites?" Well, lately I've been using wusiksatation a lot. It is a great deal. I also use cameleon 5000 a lot.
Members WhinyLittleRunt
I still like Atmosphere. For washy noises and stuff it's great but the synth section isn't that good. Still a good investment I think.

Members Ed A.
I said it before and I'll say it again: Logic Pro's Sculpture. I bought Logic Pro pretty much just to get Sculpture.

Members pogo97
Pianoteq. Not just a piano model but a struck string synthesizer with huge flexibility for pitched percussive sounds.
Members MuzikB
Favorite right now is ImpOSCar. Having a great time with the demo and love the sound. It will be here later this week.

Members MuzikB
ImpOscar has a funny way of loading sound banks. Are you saying that it's glitchy or broken? I don't have any manuals yet but thought that it was a great sounding synth. Especially at $100.

Especially at $100. It is great sounding. It's just fiddly to change patch banks. Copy this procedure down. After loading your software, note the location of the patch banks: Library > Audio > Presets > ImpOSCar Presets > ImpOSCar > (files with .fxb suffixes). If you want to change banks, drag any of these .fxb files over the "selected patch" window on the right side of the GUI panel. Fiddly, but beats the pants off the tape back-up of my old Jupiter-8. Thanks a lot. After I sell my SH-201 I might pick up Jupiter 8V in it's stead. I like that Roland sound but not as much as ImpOSCar right now. Members pighood
A lot of people have unnecessarily slagged the JP8V. The extras Arturia put into it add a lot of dimension to the sound.

I've got that demo too. I like it but not as much as ImpOSCar. The sound of it isn't as meaty as a real jupiter but just a splash of saturation or bussing it into the T-Extreme's tube does nicely. Members pighood
bussing it into the T-Extreme's tube does nicely. How is this done?
Members MuzikB
How is this done? In LIVE, set the output audio channel to (MOTU 828) 5&6 or whatever the T-Etreme's input is on your audio interface or mixer. Per page 111 of the Triton Operation Guide, set up the Valve Force for Audio Input. Access the Menu Edit Master Effect page and hit the tab for Valve Force. The screen shows the diagram of the signal routing. Change the placement to FINAL. This will show the left/right signal being routed through the tube and to the L/R outputs. Set up another Audio channel as the Triton input and there you have it and can still use all your plug-ins on top of that. You can add FX in the Triton as well but DAW plug-ins just make things easier to stick to the music and not the technical.

Members MuzikB
Bah...I have to RTFM for Logic Pro, now... Sorry, I have Logic Express but really don't use it unless I'm inputting someone else's project. In which case, I rewire all the audio into Live. Maybe the next Logic will make more sense.
