Members weeman
whilst first recording 9 channels from my m audio delta 1010lt and delta 44 i didnt get any pops (recordng drums and guide guitar jaming with) perfeclty fine the usual noise from the over heads ect. when it came to pluging in and recording later from a sm57 (already used on the snare) and a se electronics 2200 condensor for guitar and vocals i had loads of random pops i use a fostex 812 mixer for preamps into the delta 1010 (it shouldnt be making any noise!) but it was. i then used a tube pre amp made by art and a single mic for the guitar cab through the delta 44 (with i usualy just use for DI sources) and this didnt put any pops in .........weird bit was their were still pops uptill when i mixed down a track clicking or poping and it was compleatly clear from them absolute quality. i dont understand im going to try the mics together through the desk then exporting but why the pops i dont get it it never happend with drums. more of a setup issue any help would be nice im recording at 44.1 and 16bit 512cache (latency problems above i think)
Gus Lozada
Are you using a Delta 1010 or 1010LT together with a DELTA 44 in the same machine, same time multi-tracking? If so... the problem of the pops is because both cards are NOT talking to each other, since the Delta 44 has not digital ports to get synced via S/PDIF or Word Clock. Try using only the Delta 1010 or 1010 LT -removing the Delta 44 from the computer- to see if this solves the problem -which I guess, It will-. Then, consider getting a Delta 66, which sports S/PDIF ports and will be synced perfectly to the 1010 / 1010LT / other 66 / Audiophile 2496 / Audiophile 192. Members Picker
Maybe you dont have them configured correctly in the Control Panel? If you go in to the M-Audio Control Panel, click on the tab that says "Hardware Settings" and make sure that "Multiple Card Sync" is selected. Agreed, that is the correct way to put multiple cards to work together, but the 44 does not have a S/PDIF port so it will not get synced anyway and the pops will keep coming. Members weeman
the delta 1010lt uses a desk for preamps (hand on heart recording silence is CLEAR) when recording 9 channels 8 from the 1010lt and 1 from the 44 they are inperfect sync and the 8channels from the delta are fine, when it came to running a sm57 and a large dia condensor together through to the desk and 1010lt later on i got clicks ? weird or what using a art pre amp to the 44 to multi track guitars ontop of drums seemed fine jsut didnt get why guitars caused the problem i checked cabling it seemed fine not sure wtf is going on but il check it out

They happen to work "fine" but I can assure you they are NOT in sync. As long as you keep adding tracks or start playing back, problems will occur.
