Members John Sayers
They have flown into Australia aboard 6 x 747s!! The tour will cost $850,000 per day and travel in 55 trucks. Now what was Bono saying about carbon footprints?? I remember when the Beatle's arrived in New Zealand aboard a commercial flight.

Members Cirrus
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1314543/Bonos-ONE-foundation-giving-tiny-percentage-funds-charity.html Here comes the Bono apologiest, roll your eyes everyone... but ONE isn't a charity, it's a lobbying group, and most of the money comes from billionaires who can spend their wealth however they like. And however much it's horrible, lobbying those in power to make a positive difference can in the long run be a lot more effective than a billionaire buying a billion bottles of water at $1 a pop - 6 hours later the billion poorest people on earth are thirsty again and nothing's changed, except now the billionaire is one of them. ONE don't take donations off the general public and have always been upfront with what the money is for. As for the carbon footprint thing, I don't think Bono has ever really championed climate change as a cause.

Members Philter
I don't feel a need to apologize for him. It IS hypocritical. He does have a bigger impact on public opinion than most people, but that doesn't justify being an energy hog. If anything it makes it worse, since he should be using his fame to lead by example. Of course flat earthers would find a way to flip it around and mock him for that too.
Members John Sayers
maybe he can appeal to the Jaguar Goddess, Ixchel. Cancun talks start with a call to the godsBy Juliet EilperinWith United Nations climate negotiators facing an uphill battle to advance their goal of reducing emissions linked to global warming, it's no surprise that the woman steering the talks appealed to a Mayan goddess Monday.Christiana Figueres, executive secretary of the U.N. Framework Convention on Climate Change, invoked the ancient jaguar goddess Ixchel in her opening statement to delegates gathered in Cancun, Mexico, noting that Ixchel was not only goddess of the moon, but also "the goddess of reason, creativity and weaving. May she inspire you -- because today, you are gathered in Cancun to weave together the elements of a solid response to climate change, using both reason and creativity as your tools." http://voices.washingtonpost.com/post-carbon/2010/11/cancun_talks_start_with_a_call.html
Members Bookumdano2
Bono's not bad as a news columnist. Too bad there's no future in it. As he notes. The part about film and tv is dead-on. They're gonna get creamed and like a warterfall ahead, there is nothing that will stop them going over and down. Absolutely nothing. As wrong as it is, they're gonna get creamed. In some ways, I'm glad I already went through that a decade ago. I really feel for the film industry. They're gonna get creamed.
