When did Don EVER have it? I always thought Dokken would have been a MUCH better band without Don Dokkens weak anemic sissy girly voice. Did I mention weak? Good band. Lame singer. I liked him back in the day. His singing fit what the band was. Now, he has to try too hard to hit the notes, just like every other old singer. I think Vince from Motley has lost even more pep than Don Dokken has though. Dude just cannot get even close.

I think after you lowballed him and he took offense, you should have left it alone and walked or made another realistic offer. Instead, you lectured him. If I were the seller, I would have said to {censored} off at that point. As a seller that HATES lowball offers, I agree 100%. I would have been far less polite than this seller was..

I started on a cheapo "MI?" strat copy made under the brand name "Lazer". In hindsight, it had a decent neck on it, before I learned to scallop fretboards anyway... :laugh: Got that in 1987-88. In 1991ish, I got a black Charvel Model 2 with a single locking Kahler bridge. It was a substantial step up in awesomeness.. Paid $400 for it, sold it for $200 a few years later. Which I still had both of em =(

I agree on the no naming thing, I call mine by the brand or model generally.. But disagree totally on the no #1 thing. I have at least 3 #1's! Can't ever have enough #1's... Once something becomes a #2, it's time to turn it into cash.
