  1. You might want to take one of your guitars with you to try out the amps. Not that hard to check it in and it will give you a better idea of what you'll get when you get it home. And it's probably gonna be setup more to your taste than just something off the wall.
  2. I would recommend you try a Bugera V22 combo as well. Those that own them seem to really like them. Those that don't and have never played one hate them, of course...
  3. Cheetos....gives the neck old amber tint...on the cheap. AND, they taste good....
  4. I should have got a DeltaLabs Digital Delay for $19, but no...I was too lazy to go there. The manager at my GC tried to override the system to give to it to me at that price today and it wouldn't let him...
  5. I bought...I sold... I built...I keep...
  6. You can't find a climate-controlled storage facility? There's a number of them around here. There's one not far away that was built post-Katrina and it's designed to withstand 200mph winds (or something close to that).
  7. ...as I write this. They sound like a bad Bon Jovi cover band.... I'd rather hear Jon Bovi...
  8. strats and teles but, that's what everyone wants, so is that a bad thing?
  9. 1967 Gibson ES-355 that I bought used in 1973
  10. I added a Bitmo Trio Mod to my first generation Valve Jr head. Big improvement in tone and versatility. You might be able to find a Bitmo-modded VJ on eBay.
  11. Ah...but if you do as I do and put a HB in the bridge of the strat with coil-split, you're there...
  12. A strat. With the right pickup in the bridge, I can get somewhat close to the sound of an LP's bridge pickup and with four other choices with the strat it can get me close enough to the sound of a tele. YMMV
