  3. Originally posted by Jimi Ray Halen And do you name your guitars? My electrics, yes. It's fun, especially for my kids, who know most of them by name. Plus some models names are ludicrously long (ex: "Gretsch Electromatic Special Jet;" easier just to call her "Joan") so there's even a minor practical reason. Here's the names of mine, most have some connection to the actual model name or finish/color: Sonia '60 Duo-Sonic Brownie Tex-Mex Tele Special Blondie '52 RI Telecaster Seven Squier MIJ P-Bass Ruby DeArmond Jet Star Ol' Blue Ovation Breadwinner Honey DeArmond M-72 Chrissie Hamer USA Special Cherie Les Paul Studio DC Nell Fender Standard Jazz Bass Joan Gretsch Electromatic Special Jet Violet

  6. Ah good to see more kids showing up. I salute your rock and roll patriotism. Droge usually handles indoctrination until Mazi shows up, but he's on maneuvers. Recruits, you need to pledge to save the world for rock and roll and you're in, pending stripe-age from Mazi. Outstanding. BK Kommandant, Punk Rock Expeditionary Force MBM PS-- Mazi, you shoulda called from TJ. I coulda got you out in 3 days. I day for recon and two for the extraction op. Just sayin.
  7. Originally posted by ylwledbetter68 I'm not worthy! But just incase I am, I pledge myself to the life of rock! Our voices will not go unheard. All who pledge are worthy. Mazi does not judge except as between believers and unbelievers. At some point in our lives, all have fallen short of the glory of rock, yet our continued belief therein, and our pledge to rock, saves us from any unrockitude we may have committed. Mazi will be by with your stripes soon. BK Kommandant, Punk Rock Expeditionary Force Mazi Bee Militia
  8. Originally posted by opethinfinity lol i was just being silly (although I do enjoy those techniques)...but thanks for the inspiration as it is! Haha, as was I. I think part of what makes rock rock is the ability to NOT take {censored} seriously. Btw, speaking of silliness, I hereby nominate "School of Rock" as the official MBM movie. I finally got around to seeing it this week. Although Spinal Tap is a much better movie, Jack Black's singlemindedness in School of Rock is inspirational. Worth the price of admission just for his chalkboard chart on rock history (which seems possibly inspired by the one on the Little Steven's Underground Garage website, though I'm sure there have been many similar ones over the years). 10. Originally posted by opethinfinity I'm a sweep picking and tapping expert, techniques, for ultimate rock-age...does that qualify me? Grasshopper, your focus is wrong. Techniques do not make the rockitude; attitude, perserverance and determination do. If you pledge to do your best to do your duty to bring the rock, that is the sole qualification! Techniques, whether they be those you mention or an ability to do any other technique (for example showmanship techniques like playing behind your head or doing a windmill or a leap) are kinda like "good works" in Christian theology: such things will spring, as the spirit moves one, from the belief in the cause itself. But if one does not believe in the cause, no amount of good works will save you. Join us! BK Kommandant, Punk Rock Expeditionary Force Mazi Bee Militia

  16. Mazi, I hereby volunteer to personally oversee Brassic's training, and longer if necessary. If a grenade, incoming shell, or other incendiary device should land anywhere near the two of us, I promise to throw her to the ground and shield her with my own body. 17. Originally posted by otaku1625 That's a Limited, all right. Sky Blue is one of the rarest colors available for the regular Breadwinner, isn't it? I guess so. I have seen others online. But white, natural and black are more common. Btw, you should get in touch with a UK guy who runs the "Breadwinner Fanpage," the URL is: http://www.doremi.co.uk/breadwinner/ He has a Limited just like yours! BK
  18. Originally posted by otaku1625 Brian, you've probably seen this one before: It's nice to see a fellow forumite with one of these. Yeah, I remeber seeing it, are they called Limiteds? It's a rare bird to be sure. I wish mine was one of the later ones with humbuckers, mine is an early one with singles and it is noisy as hell. Plays great though. BK
