  1. Epiphone Limited Edition 1956 Les Paul Electric Guitar - Black only $299 Damn. Exactly what I am looking for at EXACTLY the wrong time.
  2. $349 +1. What I have and it makes me smile every time I plug in!
  3. Check out the new line of Ampeg GVT guitar amps !!! Are they out yet? I don't trust Loud anymore. They are tanking BADLY. And about JCA cleans: it has those awesome "right on the verge of breaking up" cleans that I adore.
  4. Whatchu talkin' 'bout Willis? Are they still made? Haven't seen one new in forever. Just checked the website and you, sir, are correct! My mistake.
  5. I still stand by JCA. Oh, the V22 is the only Bugera/Behringer product that I have ever said positive things about. Really is a good product.
  6. Burgera, yes. My local one even has a used one. The Peavey Classic series is no longer made but aren't too hard to find used.
  7. Thanks Guitarist+. Not a bad option, but I should note the less complicated it is, the better for my situation... So a combo amp would be best, and some break up without pedals would be cool. I'm not opposed to pedals, just prefer not to have to do a whole lot. My post stands. The JCA reacts to your volume knob like no other amp I have ever played. If you need two channels, then the Bugera V22 plus new tubes is the way to go.
  8. JCA20H and Whitebox 212. Special at whiteboxeng.com for $599.99. I realize that is out of your budget but an incredible deal that will do what you want. Otherwise, JCA20RC combo with an extra 1x12 cab.
  9. WHITEBOX ENGINEERING ANNIVERSARY SALE Use the code - FIRST - during check out, and receive a 10% discount. http://www.whiteboxeng.com/
  10. Best Buy is having a midnight sale and there's some musician-related items in it: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/regularCat%3Apcmcat242800050022/regularCat%3Apcmcat242800050022/pcmcat242800050022.c?id=pcmcat242800050022 Not much for guitarists but KILLER deals for drummers! Just picked up some Evans head for my kids' drum kit for 99 cents each!!!
  11. Good idea. Doing decent set-ups for cash might be a good business on a larger campus. Flipping guitars can be a great hobby, but don't expect it to pay the bills. I put myself through grad school doing setups and installing pickups. That can work out really well particularly if you can hook up with a local shop.
  12. During 2009, I started with $300 and ended up making about $3000 PLUS upgrading most of my gear. In 2010 I have profited maybe $500 total. It is an awesome market for buying used gear; horrible market for selling used gear.
  13. Oh snap! When I read the original thread my first reaction was, "How will this guy's boss respond?" I used to work for a store where the boss wouldn't have cared one way or the other. Another store would have fired me for not allowing the store owner to profit from stealing the guitars. Another would have fired me for stealing the guitars in the first place. It looks like Long and McQuade take the ethical (IMNSHO) route. Good for them.
  14. Right back at ya steve_man! Super easy transaction. Thanks!
  15. Tascam DR-1 Comes with recorder, case (previous owner's name written on it), two batteries, USB cable, and memory card. $175 shipped lower 48 states
  16. This guitar is a real modern classic. Great vintage looks and sounds. Humbucker in the bridge and single coil in the neck. Electronics are 1 Volume with a coil tap to make the humbucker a single coil and a 3 way pickup selector knob. Guitar is in amazing shape with just some wear on the neck. The body is in near perfect condition with no visible scratches. $175 + $20 US Ground Shipping
  17. I should have posted in here before! Great trades with JonesCrusher and buckethead99. :thu:
  18. He played a clinic here in town a year or so ago and I got to help out with his setup and gear. After seeing him up close and the top of his head while he was tweaking his tube screamers, I can say he totally wears a wig. Who cares though. He is one of the nicest guys I have met and he has a great sense of humor and had no ego about playing when I was talking to him. Very cool guy and awesome chops. This. When I worked for MF he used to come and play at all of our grand openings. Seriously, one of the nicest guys I have ever met. But, damn, he talks A LOT! I practically have his "Beavis and Butthead killed Winger" speach memorized. Can't stand his playing but he sure knows how to communicate with the kids. BTW, eagertokill, I agree about AMT pedals. They do, in fact, rule!
