I think the time has finally come, and I'm going to let go of my beloved Axis. The guitar is a phenomenal player, but it pretty much just sits around as I don't play it much. It's in good condition minus a little ding on the on the back. It has super low action, the trem is awesome and pickups sound good to boot. It is a basswood body, Birdseye maple neck and fingerboard, Shaller tuners with perloid buttons, cream binding. I also added an EVH D-Tuna. I'm looking for $1100 shipped. It will come with a tweed hardshell case. I'm open to trades as well. I'm biased as well. VH is one of my two favourite bands and eddie made me want to learn how to play guitar. Ed was and is a musical genius. I've talked to some people who he's worked with and they would echo that fact, but say that he was also a mean spirited drug addict. When he's on his A game, he is one of the best guitarists in the world. The gear he designs is also top notch. During their last two tours, @004 w/ Sam and 2007-08 w/ Dave, his stage sound seemed to be muffled to me. I also don't like the fact that wolf is VH's bassist. His chemestry isn't right for the band. Why didn't they just hire Sheehan? He's been asked a bunch of times to join. I also don't like the fact that there hasn't been any new music. Ed should release an album every year or two. Even if it is not a full fledged VH album, why not do an instrumental record like Vai or Satch.

There is a small chip in the finish towards the bottom near the strap button, besides that, it's in great condition. The guitar was also modded for a tone pot and if you roll back the tone a tad, you can get some really nice jazz sounds. Specs include= Maple body/ neck/ fingerboard, jumbo frets, awesome paint job, Seymour Duncan TB-12 Screamin' Demon PU, German made Floyd Rose. It really is a cool axe and plays well to boot!
