I wanted to try out nylon strings with a piezo bridge but I did not want to shell out $$ for peizo saddles. Here is what I came up with: Artec AB1 peizo and preamp combo (very cheap, but sounds good) Aluminum bridge part on the original trem. I need to get some real 4-40 set screws to replace the cut off sockethead screws. Polycarbonate saddle. It is too soft, I need to make a real saddle. Pickguard made from a panel cover. The bottom side of the pickguard is embossed with a leather pattern. Results: It is actually very playable. The acoustic and amplified sound is good. The string spacing is a touch tight at the nut. Members zach317 Posted March 15, 2009 Members Share Posted March 15, 2009 I saw a piezo pickup on ebay for $15...I need a preamp of some kind for it, though.It has a 1/8" out, though I have a 1/8"-1/4" converter so that's not an issue.What's out there that can fit in a guitar?
