Members niceguy
I've got an 07 MIM HSS. Bridge: Seymour duncan JB Neck and mid: fender highway 1 single coils My strat is actually pretty dark, tonewise. And, teh JB is wired to the tone control, which all results in a balanced tone, instead of the usual JB highs. The JB is very powerful, great for distortion. It also combines very well with the single coils. The Highway 1 pickups---well, I wanted to replace the stock MIM ceramic pickups, and a couple of used Hwy1 pickups were pretty cheep. They're supposed to be high output, but they're not that hot, really. They ARE very well-balanced, tone-wise. Overall, I end up using the JB for distortion playing and the neck and neck/mid positions for cleans. I'm happy with it

Members gypsyfireman
i've got the stock pups in my 05 american series neck and middle. i really like the tones, so they are staying. i did put a dimarzio breed neck pup into the bridge slot, and so far i'm very pleased. hot paf type tones. nice cleans. chunky and warm but clear with nice harmonics. i dig. Members streetknight
I was thinking of putting in a Dimarzio Tone Zone at the bridge and even maybe an Air Norton in the neck. I have another SSS strat if I want traditional strat sounds.
