Members Doctor Morbius
Doc, it won't do a great deal for it, there's a satin poly on there that will not allow any penetration into the woodI'll probably sand it down first. I'm also sanding down a body to refinish in ... something. Don't know yet. Only paid a buck for a pint of the stuff at a bargain joint. The brand is Watco. Members FatFingered
What's this bargain joint that you bought a pint of Watco for a buck? My Lowes charges around $8/pint.
Members Mahuska
Correct me if I'm wrong. Isn't the OP asking about the whole bass regarding finish(besides the fretboard)? The reason I'm asking is there is a local music shop that has a used Peavey Unity series bass(Koa neck thru) that I plan on picking up the first. It is in great condition except the finish everywhere needs to come back to life. I am watching this thread as I want to restore this one as well. Hope it's cool I jumped in here. BTW. It looks just like this one, except for the SD Active Basslineshttp://www.sugarat.org/peavey2.html
