Members bluesrock70's
The body on this one had no cracks, same issues on the pre drilled holes as the others. I'm going with a maple neck that I got from the free thread. I sanded the poly off and reshaped the headstock. I used GuitarNoobie's pattern from his build thread. There was a gap on the side of the neck pocket leaving a loose fit. I got a strip of basswood and cut it to fit on the side of pocket. glued on and sanded until neck fit firmly. Members bluesrock70's
Picked up a small diamond file set at Harbor Freight and get a straight edge yard stick. I cut an 18",4",3",2", and a 1 5/16" sections. I leveled and polished the frets and stained the neck using Zinsser amber shellac. I applied the tint and quickly wiped with an alcohol soaked rag. Members bluesrock70's
Started spraying clear shellac on body and upgrading electronics and pickups. I'm installing some Fender Classic 50's pickups, added a brass plate to the bridge pickup and wax potted it. I will have to drill the holes on the control plate larger so the CTS pots will fit.
