Members niceguy
Anyone got an SG like this? I think it would look oh-so-sexy btw... does the shorter scale length on gibsons cause flappy strings when tuned down? like, tuning the bass E to a D flat...? Members Vintage55
A red SG with a white pickguard is like the epitome of red SG's with white pickguards. that doesn't make sense, does it? good....

Members Mr. Fahrenheit
This is the exact type of SG I intend to own at some point. Probably just a regular cherry standard with a white/cream pickguard. Oh yes.

You'll need to raise the gauge a bit to tune down efficiently, maybe cut the nut/saddles a little. So yeah, if you grab an SG with 10's, and tune down, it will feel pretty flappy.
