Members Screaming Stone
The Hollywood division of the LAPD contacted me to help find the original owners of a bunch of guitars they just recovered. If you had a guitar stolen in Los Angeles in the past 2 years and have the serial number - contact me or contact the Hollywood LAPD.
Members jecahn
Tell me the make, year and model of the guitars and I'll tell you if any of them are mine. Otherwise, how can I tell you're not lying?

Members jecahn
Boy, you guys aren't too sharp are you? My post was a joke. As in, "You have an original '59 Les Paul in a case stenciled 'Led Zeppelin'? Yeah, that one is mine! I've been looking for it since it was stolen." Geniuses around here, huh? Members cratz2
I lost a Fender that said 'Fender' on the headstock. Serial number started with a Z. Or maybe an N. So what to I get?
Members Promit
I think I'm going to take this opportunity to write down the serial numbers on my guitars.
Members cratz2
One of the first things I do when I get a new guitar or a new amp is take pics of the front and back and closeups of the serial numbers.
Members Screaming Stone
Glad to see you figured out it's not a scam. I've been doing the stolen instrument recovery gig for about 3 years now - check the site www.ScreamingStone.com or check the list in the Music Biz forum. Members Goofball Jones
I have a 1960 Gibson Les Paul special...a "black beauty" I think they called them. It's fitted with a Bigsby and looks like it has some switches added to it. I picked it up from a guy in Canada. The serial number looks a little scratched, but it looks like it says #06130. It's probably worth something....

Good luck getting the goods back to the rightful owners.
