Members Guitarone
The Intro to mean street really demonstrates how inventive and unique Edward Van Halen was and will always be....
Members jrockbridge
I used to like the whole album back in the day. I just listened to the whole thing and I only care for these 3 tunes: 1. Mean Street
Members Nazgul6
Nothing can capture what Van Halen I was to me when it came out, but this one is a close second. Mean Stree intro and the entire song for that matter is completely badass. The Unchained riff is insane etc. Hey, is there any chance that the new album with Dave will give us some riffs like that? I mean they toured recently playing that riff driven hard rock every night, you would think some of that stuff would bleed back into their psyche. Members soundcreation
I like fair warning a lot too. Great album. But for me personally it's like all the great roth era records...there is a bit of filler on it. It does have a very different sound to the rest of the catalog though. More edge for sure. And that band had a lot of edge to begin with.
