Members newmaxnew
I have a Gibson SG standard from I think about 1982. It has the small pickguard. However it also has the jack on the edge of the guitar instead of on the face like all other SGs I have seen. Does anyone know the history of what years they put the jacks on the edge like that? It is my favorite guitar and I would love to find another like it. Max
Members Guitar Heel
IIRC, I've seen a few like that from the early 80's. I had a "The SG" from 83 that was the same way. Now that I think about it, I really wish I had that guitar back... I'm with you though, I prefer the jack on the side.
Members Elias Graves
Somebody posted a pic last week asking about fakes and it was an SG. Turns out it was real and I believe date to the mid 70s. I had never seen that before either. EG
