Epiphone Casino question?

I see used ones pop up on Craigslist for $350 or so. I cant speak much on the newer ones since mine is from the Peerless factory and is a great player. If that one at BB feels right, get it. Dont worry much about feedback, just roll the volume down a little or tame it and use it.

At bedroom volumes the feedback won't be an issue. At practice/small gig levels just don't stand right in front of the amp and you'll be fine. I have a korean one as well ('95). It's great, an essential to my collection that I wouldn't sell for double what I payed to my own Mom (who also loves it). The newer ones I wasn't as impressed with build wise but that was a couple years ago. The epiphone stuff lately since the change to China can be really good. If you like it go for it. 509 is a pretty good price brand new. I am totally happy with the stock PUPS and electronics on mine.

I have a 2006 Limited Ed Bigsby Casino, and a 2009 'Inspired By John Lennon' Revolution Casino. Both of them needed a proper setup, with a fret leveling and a new nut installed. Once that was done, though, both guitars play very easily, and I love the tone I can get from them. The 'Inspired By' is now my favourite electric git.

Cheers,

Glenn
