I don`t know if this is strange but I enjoy starting a new song idea right before I am scheduled to do something. Something about the urgency of a time limit really fuels my creativity. If I`m mixing, I like to save the first mix just because it usually holds the most energy. Again, may have something to do with urgency of the moment but it works for me.
