Members blue2blue
Hebb had said in several interviews that he wrote "Sunny" in response to the slaying of his brother outside a Nashville nightclub and to the assassination of President John F. Kennedy a few days before.I'm not sure I ever knew that. I've always liked that song and Hebb's performance. Interesting that it was a hit first in Japan and then for vibe player Dave Pike before Hebb cut it and had his own monster hit with it. Also interesting that he sang and danced with Roy Acuff's Smoky Mountain Boys in the 50s and one of the first black performers on the Grand Ole Opry. RIP, Mr Hebb. Members rasputin1963
"Sunny" has great chord changes. Thanks, Mr. Hebb. "Natural Man" is one of my alltime favorite R&B records.... It still sounds great... Superb melody with dynamite chord changes... AvoRDZsD078&feature=related

Members marcar
I had the pleasure playing with Bobby Hebb during the early 70s in Nashville. Not only was he a really talented and accomplished musician, songwriter, and showman, but he was a gentleman and generous human being, as well. RIP, Bobby.
