Any guitars that fit my criteria?

Hey guys, so I'm looking to buy a second guitar.

My first one was a Peavey JF-2EX Silver (essentially an Epiphone Dot copy) and it's too body-heavy for me; I'm still learning, so when I take 15 seconds transitioning from one chord to the next, it would start sliding off my knee.

So I'm looking for something similar, but in a smaller package:

- whammy bar

- loud enough to play unplugged in a small room (like a dorm room)

- f-shaped sound hole (at least one)

- balanced weight between neck and body

One that I found to my liking was the DiPinto Belvedere Deluxe Black, but it's a bit too expensive...

Another one was the Peavey Ecoustic ATS, which was extinct about 10 years ago.

So I decided to come to you for your expertise. Thanks!

Wildkat is NOT as big as a Dot. It's just a shade bigger than a typical Les Paul.

Because of the solid/hollow construction, though, it's no featherweight.

My Alleykat (no bigsby) is 8 pounds or so.

Completely AWESOME guitars, though. I call it the semi that plays like a solid.

New guitars are fun and seem like the answer at times... wildkats are sweet.

BUT

I must say that as you progress, you will get stronger and more able to hold the guitar steadily. For now maybe stick something grippy to the part that rests on your leg? Skateboard grip tape? Little rubber feet? Tear up a mouse pad? Flying v's sometimes have a thing made for this.

I remember my first bass sliding off my lap constantly, I think this is one of the starting player woes, stick it out man.

Just to add, you can wear a strap and that will help keep it in place.
