Members metalheadUK
Cool new tracks thanks! Stepaway bt http://soundclick.com/share?songid=9512580 Thanks for listening. Nice sharp guitar tone...cut through the mix without taking heads off...possibly a little sharp for me...I think I would have rolled the tone back a little and gone for slightly more woodiness in the sound, but it works, and the playing is great. Nice stuff...I thought the pull off/hammer on licks worked well.
Members metalheadUK
Loved this BT! This kind that keeps running thru your head and you think of all kinds of great stuff, after you record! I might have to take another run at these. http://soundclick.com/share?songid=9514803 Very nice! Loads of feel.

Members benzem
Nice sharp guitar tone...cut through the mix without taking heads off...possibly a little sharp for me...I think I would have rolled the tone back a little and gone for slightly more woodiness in the sound, but it works, and the playing is great. Nice stuff...I thought the pull off/hammer on licks worked well. I have been trying to get better recordings. I am trying to mic my cab and get a decent sound, in a dead room. Trying diff stuff. The nochancebt http://soundclick.com/share?songid=9524132 was with my semi and diff amp settings/mic pre. The others were my Tokai LP(which gets great tones, just not recorded well) Less bright? I have been considering going direct, it seems most here( i think) do and get some great tones. I know you do! Thanks again! Anyone feel free to comment. Members milosch
I always record direct. One of these days I will have the room to fire up all of these amps at once

Members nuke_diver
I never record direct. I like the sound of my amp though strangely the recorded version never sounds like what I actually played Also while I did do a couple of tracks direct I did not really like the amp models that I have available. I suppose if I started recording a lot I'd get something better to record to...and it would also avoid the re-record when the wife opens the door and yells at me to turn it down
Members scuzzo
Great playing and sweet tone. Verged on Hendrixy for me at times. Nice! cheers back mate! it a fun track.. on the recording question some one posed.. direct using The Pod as Interface and GR4 to do the heavy lifting.. monitored through headphones.. no amps or speakers. Members LAracer
VERY warm tone...what did you use? I thought that was really nice...sweet and melodic and controlled. Nice. Thanks much MH Was using my strat (Texas Special pups), N/M position, into boss ME50 (with tubescreamer model and maybe some delay) into Boss RC50 looper, which was used for recording. I really wasn't thinking too much about tone. I hadn't even noticed until you asked, but there's no amp or amp-model in the chain. It's essentially dry from the ME50. While I was playing it the amp was after the RC50. I need to work on this ...and thanks for not mentioning the cringeworthy clams in the fast runs! Then theres t'other one, Stepaway. http://soundclick.com/share?songid=9513423 Same guitar into my Digitech GNX3000 direct to PC. Thanks for any listens/comments! I'm just now listening to all the other interpretations (sorry again for re-hashing this thread). This is all good, but the ending part is really cool (or sick or whatever the kids say these days).
