The non-glossy / no grain filler finish actually feels really nice. It's a damn light guitar too. And the pickups honestly surprised me. I was expecting something a bit more harsh. They actually have a great smooth tone to them clean that I am liking a lot, not nearly as raunchy as the 496R and 500T in my SG (which I also like but are a bit hotter than I would like sometimes). The setup out of the box impressed me actually... this was a demo guitar so I don't know if someone at Sweetwater gave it a setup or not before it went out but the setup is basically perfect with the exception of needing a very minor intonation adjustment on the G. It was even in perfect tune when i pulled it out of the box. Personally I could care less about binding and flame tops so I am very happy with my purchase.
