Members hardtdc
Here's the link.http://greensboro.craigslist.org/msg/2503069460.html I've been thinking about one of the Goldtop Studio 60s models for $850 but this looks like it could be a good deal if it's still available. Thoughts?

Members tiltsta
Yeah, that is a decent/good price. Solid color studios seem to go for 7-800 on my local CL, so a nice fireburst for 650 sounds like a deal.

Members cbh5150
Not the most flattering pics (looks like it could have been wiped down a little before taking the pic ), but I had the same Studio for awhile; excellent guitar and IMO the nicest finish (fireburst/gold hw).Hit it HARD! Members reverberlayed
Sorry to hijack but my local CL has a black studio with repaired headstock for $400. That's a good deal, right?
Members MyEmergency
That is a great price, normally people price the firebursts at around 1k if in good condition, I would snag that quick unless it is already gone

Members seantz
Yes good price. My Guitar center has used Studio's pretty frequently and they are always between 6-700 bones.
Members GAS Man
Yeah, it sounds good to me. I just bought one new and even with a "favored customer discount" it still cost me around $1150, so $500 below that? - I'd say grab it as long as it's in reasonable condition. Oh, and within 4 days of receiving mine, my stepson fumbled a GFS Fast Fret dropping it on top of the guitar dinging the finish. I'm still in mourning over that. I'd wanted a Fireburst LP for years, picked it out of a gallery line up based on color and weight, and had plans on putting my best set of pickups in it. Now I can't look at it without being over-come by inconsolable grief. Just think how much anxiety you'll be saving yourself when one of your relatives/friends who can't handle their booze dings your used LP. Not to mention the extra $500 P.S. Here's a pic of mine prior to the "dinging".
Members axegrinder
If you can play it and you LIKE it then of course. If you can play it and it leaves you cold then you should probably pass. my opinion of course.

Members kayd_mon
The Fireburst is a good price. Check it out - if it's a legit Gibson and you like it, buy it. For the hijacker I've heard that if the repair is pro-quality, it'll be just fine. Otherwise, a little patience can get you a new one for between $600-$700. I've heard of Studios (especially black ones) going for cheaper, so maybe it's worth it to wait on that one
Members Dega500
Fireburst for $650? A good deal? Absolutely if it's sound! Of course I'm always leary of pics that cut the headstocks off! What's that about?
