Members elsupermanny14
Ok so I was setting up the action on my Squier and I got as low as I can go without encountering fret buzz. I have not adjusted the truss rod and am wondering I have gotten to the point where I need to adjust it. The action is as low as it will go. I am only getting fret buzz in the following places:6th String: 1st fret and 2nd fret5th String: 1st fret and 2nd fret4th String: 1st fret, 2nd fret, and 3rd fret1st String (High E): 13th fret only. There is no buzz on the other two strings. The intonation is set and is fine. What could I do at this point to eliminate the fret buzz? Do I really have to raise the strings more or will adjusting the truss rod do anything?

Members muellator
Adjust the truss rod, carefully. You will need to give relief so the neck comes forward a bit, which is why there is buzzing on the lower frets. Only turn 1/8-1/4 of a turn at a time and let it sit to let the wood adjust. The buzzing on the 13th fret, just raise the action on that saddle for that string.
