Members techristian
For those of you that are interested I wrote a little article about my experience at the Worlds Fastest Drummer competition at the Warped 2002 Tour in Detroit. My scores are posted as well. Learn from my mistakes ! Dan http://teachmedrums.com/comerica.html

Members guitarizt
What is single and double stroke? Did you get to use a double bass pedal? Did you play normally or just hit the snare and one tom a bunch?
Members techristian
I played single strokes (no buzzing or bouncing) with the hands. RLRLRLRLRLRLRLRLRL There was ONE bass drum PAD with an Axis DOUBLE PEDAL which I played with BOTH FEET. Dan
Members techristian
I hate to say this , but my left knee has been a bit tender since the WFD competition. The wife keeps telling me to take glucosamine and chondroitine. What I needed at the competition was a longer warmup time for the legs. I guess I'm getting old. Members zuul777
have any tips for improving single stroke? like some sort of way to think through it or anything?
Members techristian
My score of 787 doesn't really qualify me to be called an "expert". I think of the single strokes as triplets. If I could play quintuplets against the same meter I could hit over 1300. That's the way I see it.
