Members almightycrunch
Well, a local mom and pop music store that I frequent, recently received the SUB series of guitars and basses from the Sterling/Music Man. I played several of the SUB music man basses and was thoroughly impressed, especially for the 279 bucks they are asking for em!!!! nice stuff oh, they are Indonesian as well. Members stormin1155
I have a couple of Hamer XT series guitars, and they are excellent. I would also offer up Ibanez's budget lines.... any of their lines for that matter, all are excellent and hard to beat at any price point.
Members fretmonster
I've always thought Washburn made the best budget stuff. Their acoustics are amazing and I have a foreign made Bantam Series Bass that's lightweight but not neck-heavy and really sounds and plays like something costing a whole lot more than it did. Members lukebe
In go for Godin, although their LGX-models aren't cheap. But you can't beat the quality of the 5th avenue for that price. I have good experiences with H

I have to agree with you on the Ibanez product too. I've owned an AG-75 and the fit and finish was perfect.
