Members jimash
I am going with "That is not a Gretsch". The F-holes are wrong. Also the p/u switch, inlays and pickguard. Not Gretsch. Resembles a Blue Penguin or semi-hollow duo jet but is neither.
Members Carbohydrates
Agreeing with jimash. The body is not a Gretsch shape, the binding is different, the holes are different, the inlays are unique, the bridge isn't floating, the pickups lack rings, that's not a Gretsch Bigsby... I could go on and on. The only Gretschy things here are the knobs, the filtertrons, the Penguin-style armrest, and I guess just the fact that it's a single cut archtop. Members jimash
The body shape resembles a Samick, especially the upper bout( Though the holes are still wrong)
Moderators Ratae Corieltauvorum Posted November 24, 2012 Author Moderators Share Posted November 24, 2012 Don't think Guitarist will be puttin any Samicks on the cover of their calendarThe inlays make me think TVJ Spectrasonic, as does the recessed TOM, but I don't see that guitar on TVJ's site, but my gut says its a TVJ custom
