Members suyash gabriel Posted June 26, 2008 Author Members Share Posted June 26, 2008 OK how about we discuss our favorite Carrey drum licks...or parts or whatever.....I'll start....#2 on Aenima is called "Eulogy" and those clicks are a pre-programmed aux percussion of some sort..(clave is a good guess but I really don't think it's what it is, my guess would be some african percussion we've never heard of) I know he triggers the whole intro with his pads....but on to my favorite part of that song (at least for the drums)...which has to be the little breakdown where it's just Danny playing that 3 over 4 polyrthm where the hats are raised every 3rd 16th note, with the kick and snare playing a standard 4/4 rock groove. That part is friggin' sweet. They are the true definition of a BAND. dude...that part totally rulez....he plays it with such consistency and accuracy....just blows my mind completely... and yes....well said...they definitely are a true defination of a band Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
