Members Wannarok
The price is right on piecing together a kit, What do yoyu think of them? The only time I've ever head them was on Youtube, and crappy quality. The only concern I have is sustain of the drum......thoughts?
Members turdadactyl
I love 'em! They have nice fat tone and can go low or high depending on tuning (and heads). http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=34708&id=1510534852&l=60eda4219a

Members Wannarok
how about the sustain?
Members turdadactyl
how about the sustain? Depends how you tune them. If you tune them low they have a good sound, but aren't going to ring like birch. If you tune them high...you can go have a bite and you'll still be hearing that. Members Cross Eyed Mary
Acrylic (from my experience) is very punchy. It's got a very dense low/mid section and really bright highs. I love it. There's no pores/grain with acrylic, the note almost seems pure.

Members Cross Eyed Mary
Modern acrylics don't crack that easily. Dropping any drum is dangerous, you can hit a lug/bracket and gouge through wood.
Members Gremson
Jellybean kits are sexy. If I were to own an acrylic kit I'd want different colors. My dad had a Blue vistalite kit in the 70's.... He still talks about how cool they were.

Members Rudolf von Hagenwil
how about the sustain? the deacy time of any drum is longest when you tune both skins to the same pitch, that priciple is called sympathetic resonance
