Members cdawg
that pedal has all kinds of adjustments to compensate for this. maybe someone who owns one will step in...
Members ResoHead
is the bass drum tilted waaaay back on the spurs? you should be able to just fit your hand in the space between the front rim and the floor.hope this helps.
Members melvinspeed
Try lowering the spurs on your kick drum. (Bah! Resohead beat me to it!)
Members D Carroll
+1, the kick is probably up too far, flatten the {censored}er.
Members drumsdb
Other options on the Iron Cobra... 1) The beater head is adjustable - you can losen the key bolt (little tension rod) on the head and tilt he beater head up. 2) The cam itself can be adjusted. You can losen another key bolt and rotate the cam on the axis (bar). If you rotate it more toward the head, it should put less room between the beater and head. (How's that for unintentionally dirty!) 3) You can lower the chain on the cam. This will bring the beater closer to the head, but will also lower the pedal itself. This change can greatly affect how the pedal plays (in my experience) but also has been extremely useful for me in eliminating "clicks" and extra space between the pedal and head.
