How can I put my cymbal here

Hey all, sorry for the bad pic but all your missing is the hat pedal and left of the double pedal.  I'm open to rearranging but can't buy a worthwhile lame rack and don't want to.  Aside from that I'm ok with jumbling up my set given here and learning new spacing.

My goal is to have both the 20" giant beat and the 24" flat ride as main rides.  My policy is that everything needs to be reachable with both hands, including the bell, with traditional grip (even though it may not be perfectly comfortable with the left).

The problem is pretty simple...even without the couch that's right in front of the drums, no matter where I scoot the 20" ride cymbal stand around the bass drum, it still can't be reasonably put exactly where I want it.  Right now the 20" is a foot or so above the 24".  Trying to find the balance of being able to hit the bell of the 24" without hitting the 20, and hitting the floor tom without hitting the 24".

Should I just get used to this or do you have any suggestions?  Thanks!

Do you play matched or asymmetric? I play matched and have settled on left and right rides. IMO they're just too big to do anything else about it. I can still cross over with either hand - I don't a lot but the reach is comfortable.

i've always put my 24" where the second rack tom would go. i just got a sturdy boom stand, and it fit in nicely between rack tom and floor tom. above that (overlapping and to the right some,) i would put my 24" china. (also on a boom.) i kept it pretty flat, like a ride. both cymbals were accessible with both hands, no problem.

Ever consider a cymbal stacker? Many, many moons ago, when I played a Ludwig Octa-Plus 13 pc., I used to stack a flat ride over my regular ride, on the same stand, with a cymbal stacker. They were about 22"-24" apart from each other, so there was plenty of room for sticking.

Just a thought.
