Members speddling
(waits for the parody threads ) Most you know by now I've been selling off my Schroeders looking for a "Big Assed Bass Tone" (if anyone cared ). I flipped around on what I was going to get... thought my #1 choice was out of reach... ordered and canceled the SWR 12-Stack twice.... Well it's done! My #1 choice... a new Accugroove 'El Whappo' has shipped today El Whappo - Accugroove's largest full-range, 4-way cabinet. 15" sub 12" woofer 6" mid driver and a pair of textile dome tweeters. Frequency response -35Hz to 18KHz down to 29hz at -6db 102dB SPL 800-watts RMS 32" x 24" x 18" @ 75 lbs. Soon I will be pushing this monster with my other monster

Members Mudbass
Let us know how you like it once you've had a chance to run it through a few hoops. Not sure I trust AccuGroove anymore after the great AccuSwitch fiasco.

Members Crescent Seven
I saw The Hammer play his El Whappo in Knoxville a few months ago. That thing sounded fantastic. Very smooth and the lows were CLEAN. I'm not in the market for a high-end cab, but if I was I'd try one out. The whole Accuswitch thing bothers me, but I guess I can forgive them if their cab sounds incredible... C7

I'll find out for sure on my 1210 next week when it leaves me... but it is REAL close in weight to my old 1212.... the shippers scale told me 62lbs unpacked It should be WAY lighter than my 1212 + 1210 stack... nevermind I usually bring the Mini12 along as well Dan, I'm up for an NJ GTG. the big NYC GTG for Talkbass is usually in Sept... you should come to that one. It was a blast last year.
Members Emprov
Nice! Before I bought my Avatar neos, I came really close to pulling the plug on an ElWhappo. In the end though, I figured that I played way too many gigs in less than secure locations. Definitely the best sounding cab that I've ever played through, congrats! You have something that they can take. You remember how it was when you had nothing. You looked at the ones who had what you wanted and you felt strong in your need. Brave in your limited surroundings. Righteous in your desires for something different. Contemptuous of those who had exactly what you wanted. You hated them because they looked weak and slightly scared. You circled the water hole and thought about closing in. Now you have it and feel weak in your power to keep it. You feel desperate to make them see that you won't let them take it away. Because it's yours. You never had to justify yourself and your possessions before. I earned this. I worked hard for what I've got. I paid my dues. I deserve this. You say these things to yourself as the animals circle and wait. Shake your fists at the Hyenas. Chase them away from your water hole. Justify. See them all differently.. Now you see that they all want something. They want exactly what you've got You get some juice. Human becomes prey. Human gets scared. Figure out that you have to become hard to keep it yours. You have to be cruel. You have to kill them off just for looking. Leave the bodies by the water hole so the rest will see. Hang spent bullet cases from fishing line outside all the windows of your house. Put up signs. Please break in. I would love the opportunity to kill you legally. Let the fear turn into desperate anger. Start seeing the differences in people. They all start looking suspicious. They all want. The need never stops. Out there, someone is always needing. Always hungry. Always looking at you. Checking your eyes for weakness. Zeroing in on the vein in your neck. As they circle the water hole. And close in.
