Members speddling
Sorry, I'm flipping out, it's gonna be done tomorrow and then to the GAL convention http://www.luth.org/convention/conv-main.htm After that I'll be getting it... but I might have to wait for after Austin NAMM in July. I've got the whole build history (well the history of the order and me waiting ) at Bassnutz http://bassnutz.com/showthread.php?t=1790 What do all y'all think of my step from 5 & 6 stringers into the world of 7+ ERB land? Members Hunter6
Jesus, that neck is HUGEEEEE. What tuning would you keep it in? BEADGBE? Or something like that?

It's 7 string with 19mm spacing at the bridge. 34" scale with 28 frets
Members SpaceGhost
I dig. What made you decide to go with the high B rather then a C?

I bought my first 5 string in late 1990 and strung it E-A-D-G-B I took guitar lessons to teach myself a 'lead bass' style so the C is just silly to me on a fretted instrument. My fretless 6 has a C but fretless has always been a different mind set to me... linear makes sense in my head there. Anyway, this bass is to replace the little bits of guitar I do play on my solo crap

Members T-40
Fight deck size aside, that is an amzing looking piece of wood. You best post some MP3's when you get it in your hands!

Members One Bad Monkey
Damnit. You now have THREE basses that I want. I hope you're proud of yourself...! Seriously, beautiful piece of work. My compliments to the luthier.

Members el_duderino676
Holy bejeezes that is HUGE! It's beautiful, though. I'm guessing it's going to have a pickup that looks like a rock and costs more than a house?

Actually I wanted the pickup covered in silver vine (inlay wood) but I went with a Delano Customshop. It'll look like this

Members 82Daion
Interesting wood, beautiful even, but the over-phallic upper horn kills it for me. That said, enjoy it!
Members dragon9666
There was a band in the 80's called Overkill..................
Members L-1329
I think I like the idea of how you will have that tuned, seems very logical for some reason. And a 19mm 7 string! I know I've landed on smaller runways than that neck! Sweet instrument, enjoy the 'ell out of it.

Members willsellout
I really like the looks of the body, love the woods and the block inlays on the FB as well . It seems like it would really be neck heavy though, what do you think? Also, I don't understand how you could possibly play it, but I really hope you enjoy it! Members speddling
Thanks everyone... Neck Dive :: the horn extends to the 11th fret, the neck itself is thinner than normal because the wood has been Arylized and much stronger.... so no, I don't antisipate an issue. Pickup review :: as soon as I get it in my hands... it's being recorded and posted!! Hell maybe I'll pick up a webcam so all y'all can see HOW I play it too Hey Dragon, luckily today we have more choices than in the 80s... like that 5 string active bass you are pictured with
