Members Perfessor
Isn't the whole idea of that to get more people to identify with them and join their party? They might have good ideas but the ones I've met personally have all been argumentative.

Members hawkhuff
Scored a 29. 27 to 35 points: You are a libertarian. You believe in freedom for all, both in personal life and economic activity. Morality and law emerge from the free exchange of ideas. You are convinced that people are smart enough to make their own choices in life regarding right and wrong. Your primary motivation in life is freedom. You understand the difference between freedom and equality, and they are not the same thing.I am a bit surprised but it was probably the personal questions like abortion and guns that shifted me to the libertarians. I'm OK with that.
Members Johnny the Squirrel
There were a couple where I didn't agree with any of the answers... but choosing the "best" for each I got a 27. I guess I should go join their cult, huh?

Members picker13
I think you all have to understand something. The Libertarian Party and most of it's members main goal is to recruit more members. So of the beliefs they have, they take those that are the most common sense or apply to most people and distribute them in newlestters and quizes ike this. The test itself is designed to have you score high. Most people will fall in the Libertarian group. In this way they create interest in their party. I'm not saying that's a bad thing. The country could use some libertarian redirection, but you just need to be aware of what's going on here. Just look at the scores posted here. I have found this forum to be a farily equal split between liberals and conservatives, so the average score should have been 16-17 points.

This is also my beef with "The World's Smallest Political Quiz"It's made by the Advocates for Self-Government. That should clue us into the nature of the quiz

The World's Smallest Political Quiz is really meant to be an introduction to libertarianism. I doubt anybody would start voting differently just based on the results of that quiz. I agree.Anyone who is swayed in one way by such a simple thing as a 1 minute quiz, probably doesn't have the attention span to go and vote anyhow. Members T. Alan Smith
26"17 to 26 points: You are a conservative Republican. Not much better than a liberal. You think that morality and law comes from an imaginary man in the sky. Morality should be forced upon people because people don't know what is good for them and are too stupid to think for themselves. Your primary motivation in life is to do "the right thing", so long as you get to decide what the right thing is."Oh well. I almost made Libertarian. This is quite the one sided view of conservative Republican tho. The "man in the sky" isn't my imagination. Nor is he simply "in the sky." I don't think morality should be forced on people because of "stupidity." I think morality should be established and upheld because of our innate sin. What's wrong with me deciding what "the right thing is" for my life? I don't need the government to assist, nor do I need "the church." I've got my Bible, thank you. And it wouldn't even need to be to that degree. Look at Stalin in the Soviet Union... Turned it from a very poor nation to one of the most powerful in the world, and I believe killed about 20 million Soviets in the process... About 10% of the total population of the USSR (Russia + buffer states).

They will totally help you, they control all the guns and they'd probably want to thin the herd a bit too!
