I'm still getting used to the electronics (my first active instrument) but it plays beautifully. My first 5 string was a Peavey Millenium. I bought it for it's narrow string spacing but it was the wrong thing for me to do. The MTD's is the same as the J so I'm finding the transition easier. It sounds great, but I wouldn't say it sounds like a Ray.My OLP kinda sounds like a P, but not quite... do you know if I could get a pickup to fit it that'd sound closer to a P?Have you heard anything good about the 5 string versions of the Bart MMX pickups? I was going to put a new pre-amp in it anyway.. maybe a Sadowsky.
