Members Hunter6
o.O? Six String Strat Bass?I'm thinking this kid's talking out his ass...Because I've seen maybe one bass that looks like a strat which I believe was a custom job, and it sure wasn't a six string. This friend of mine calls Ps and Js Strat basses because he's a bass n00b, but, Fender doesn't make any sixers, do they? Members guitargod0dmw
Never heard of one either. The first thing I thought was a P or a J, but then you said 6 string...

Members el_duderino676
Other than a baritone Strat, there is no such thing as a Fender Stratobass, although I have seen a few that were put together from parts by other people, although they were all 4 stringers. Members greenshag
I believe fender owns the rights to the name stratocaster, so I doubt that we be a company name at all.
Members Smokinfiddler
its not a fender stratocaster bass, he said the company was stratocaster, he dident mention fender at all stratocaster is a trademark name of Fender I am pretty sure that fender would file suit against another company using their name. i think the guy is full of it
Members SirMike1983
The 3 closest things to a Strat bass you'll find are: Fender P-Bass (in shape mainly, superficial)Fender Bass VI early series with Strat-like pickups (not the later Jaguar-style ones)Strat Baritone I work primarily with Fender basses and have never encountered a true bass version of the Strat, strictly speaking.
