The thing is, I'm still waiting to try a G&L bass, to see if the quality in build and sound is roughly consistent with the used, early 90s ASAT Classic guitar I have. Plus, I've had a bass with that bridge in the past, and it makes setups a horrifying process, to say the least. I don't know if the Tele really does it for me, either-I'd worry about the balance on a bass like that. However, if you're trying to put on a show, either will suffice, I think.
