Something I noticed on that page (which I stupidly did not find before posting the Sweetwater link) - Round Sound and Infinite Baffle are trademarked?

Is that cab really an Infinite Baffle design or is Ampeg just trademarking something they think sounds cool?

I don't see why it wouldn't be. It's cheap to make and was as used on the original SVT.

Trademarking it though......

In practice, that's all an infinite baffle is.

I've seen many places make the distinction that sealed or acoustic suspension cabs are designed so the volume of the cabinet has an effect on the speaker's suspension, therefore tuning the driver. An infinite baffle is an enclosure large enough to not change the speaker's suspension, but exists to keep frequencies from canceling each other out.

Kind of a nuanced difference, but coming from a home/car audio background, it odd to see a company flaunting an IB design. :)
