Members misterhinkydink
Is there anything they won't call an SVT ? I don't think so.....
Members i_wanna_les_paul
Nope, no tubes at all.... Something I noticed on that page (which I stupidly did not find before posting the Sweetwater link) - Round Sound and Infinite Baffle are trademarked? Is that cab really an Infinite Baffle design or is Ampeg just trademarking something they think sounds cool?
Members Super Bass
No, SS according to Sweetwater. I imagine that it's really a re-designed Ashdown stack. I fixeded your post! Its probably made in the same factory as the Mini-Ashdowns. A store here was blowing those out at

Trademarking it though......

Members i_wanna_les_paul
In practice, that's all an infinite baffle is. I've seen many places make the distinction that sealed or acoustic suspension cabs are designed so the volume of the cabinet has an effect on the speaker's suspension, therefore tuning the driver. An infinite baffle is an enclosure large enough to not change the speaker's suspension, but exists to keep frequencies from canceling each other out. Kind of a nuanced difference, but coming from a home/car audio background, it odd to see a company flaunting an IB design.
Members allan grossman
No, SS according to Sweetwater. I imagine that it's really designed to compete with the Ashdown stacks that are similar. I used to own this one - cool practice amp but nowhere near 100 watts. Tone sucked moose balls too. It was still cool.
Members RSBro
Mini and SVT should never be used together..... MOSFET and SVT should never be used together..... If it's got MOSFETs, how can it even be an "SVT"?? Doesn't it stand for "super vacuum tube" or something?
