Members Funkee1
Who do you like that isn't a guitarist, bassist, or drummer? Keyboardists and pianists get a pass (and yes, there is a difference!!) because they belong to the Rhythm section, but can also be lead players. Hit it! Let's see the list! Some of mine: David SanbornKenny GarrettChuck MangioneChris Vadala Ken KashiwaMarc RussoEverette HarpThe Late George howardMilesMaynard FergusonRandy CrawfordThe Brecker BrothersMichael McDonaldKenny Loggins (as a singer, not a guitarist!!)Anita BakerBrandon FieldsAndy Narell (steel drummer from hell)

Members FloydianAnimal
I didn't know a lead guitarist was part of the rhythm section So Joe Satriani or Steve Vai wouldn't count? Or Petrucci on his solo stuff which is like 80 percent leads? Well, guitarists aside, I'd say: Mike Patton Bela Fleck Dave Matthews Bruce Dickinson Jordan Rudess
Members Kakona
Stevie Nicks played a mean tamborine for Fleetwood Mac, and was pretty easy on the eyes back in the day.
Members Fiery Furnace
I'd say David Gilmour. He had a lot of groove for a lead guitarist. But if it has to be non guitarist... I guess Rick Wright

Members JacieFB
Tymon Dogg, violinist for Joe Strummer & The Mescelaros, comes to mind. He's done a lot of other work, too, I'm sure, but I'm not really familiar with it. Sting has also worked with too many great soloists to name...Branford Marsales is a big one off the top of my head. Chris Botti is another.

Members Fiery Furnace
I love Gilmour! He is by far one of the best. And of course, we all know the rumours of Gilmour having played many of the recorded bass lines in Floyd's work, so maybe he really shouldn't count in this thread

Members Thumper
David Gilmour. Yes, he's a guitard, and I'm not fond of Pink Floyd, but I love his tone and his playing.
