Members danuniversal
Does Oscar Schmidt have a custom shop or a 5 strings rickenbaker style bass? How much that bass costs? How much it costs if it comes from the custom shop (if that custom shop exists)?
Members Thumper
If you're talking about Washburn's budget line, no.

Members J.
No, Oscar Schmidt has never made a Rickenbacker-style bass, much less a five string version of the same. Rickenbacker copies are very rare, and I don't believe there are any currently available in the US aside from the old "lawsuit" copies on the used market. Come to think of it, there has never been a good 4001/4003 5 string bass. Even Rickenbacker's attempt was a POS.
Members danuniversal
I met a guy that has a Rickenbacker style bass, that in the headstock has the logo of Oscar Schmidt. I have been trying to get information about that bass, but I can not.

It *might* have been a made-in-Japan 'lawsuit' copy. There were many copies made in the '70s/'80s under the Ibanez, Penco, Univox, Shaftsbury brand names. Some are pretty good visual reproductions, but none sound like a Ric.
