Union bustin' was one of the stipulations of bailing out Detroit.I think congress critters shouldn't be messin' with contract law.I'm non-union by the way. One big difference is that the union contracts effect the future wages/compensation of the worker whilst this idea is the government stealing money from employees that have already earned it. This is a grandfather tax not known to those who agreed to work for a certain level of compensation, completed their end of the bargain, and BAM!, the Government confiscates a huge part of their compensation after the fact. As far as changing already earned retirement benefits of auto workers, I agree.
