Each one of the locks is like a capo for the string. the first one by the nut is E...like normal. each additional lock lowers the open string by 1 half step. the open-unlocked string is a low C. and yes i had a local luthier do it. he did an outstanding job and was way cheaper than anywhere else in the country (that i looked at) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
