Members thom
K, lemme clarify: I'm asking about a fender presicion bass with two instead one set(s) of pickups, with the extra pair being closer to the bridge. The bass player in A local(ish) band played one of those, and it sounded great. Cant say how much of the tone came from his amp or whatever, and I'm not saying that this'll be my next bass or anything... But I always thought I knew a thing or two about fender basses, so now I'm dying to know if this bass is a model that stayed under my radarfor some reason, or whether it's a custom job or something. Anyone maybe know? Cheers.
Members Mr.Grumpy
Precision Bass Elite? They don't look to be standard P-bass pickups, and I'm guessing it has active electronics too.B.C. Rich (and others) made basses with two P-bass type split pickups. Members thom
Thanks! The one I saw did have the regular looking pickups though, without the white covers. Also, from what I can find on the net, the P-bass Elite didn't come in the same finish as the guy's bass...Guess it must've been a modded/custom p bass then.
