Members fuzzball
Our band practices tight, and we still have fun...we do it because we love it.
Members bluesfella
I love going to blues and rock jams and i solo all the time there. But when i'm writing a song i usually don't make solo's longer then 20-30 secs unless i come up with something so brilliant it can be longer. Sadly, that hasn't happened yet. There are very few guitarists that can play huge solo's without boring people.
Members fuzzball
I also try to keep them short and sweet (and easier to remember).
Members Badside
Is that really such a problem for so many of you? I've never been in a band with such a "musician" Granted *I* am the lead guitarist, but I never solo more than planned. And I actually deliberatly try to avoid solos when I write songs... it's just too easy. I'd rather find a way to take the song to another level without resorting to that, unless the song calls for it. Then I use the solo to bring the song to another level! My bassist never do solos And we have to fight with our drummer to make him do a solo when the audience is requesting one (it happens!) And my lead singer is not a prima donna... Hell, looks like I have the perfect bandmates
