Members Loner
Gotta keep that calendar with you! Sometimes I have to look and see where I'm playing this week. Only having one schedule book is very important, too, I found out the hard way long ago.

Members Shaster
Learned a (booking) lesson yesterday, always know your availabilities off the top of your head.Fumbling for if a day will work or not can be weak,Close the deal~ know your schedule. I use my email google calendar which is synced to my smart phone. I also link the calendar to my desktop windows calendar. Then I have a hard copy just in case the data fails. I used to keep a phone log and that helped, but now I get gig requests through email, text messages, Facebook, and the phone - in that order. Funny how times have changed. If I'm caught off guard for a gig request, I will often say something to the effect of, "I'd love to do the gig, but I'm showing a tentative with a small "t" on that day - let me see if I can clear the waters to make this happen". Then I'll double check and get back to them. Or if it's someone I know, I'll just be honest and say "I don't see anything on that date, let me verify once I get home". As long as you make it seem like you're being detail oriented instead of confused, it shouldn't affect your credibility.

Agreed Nothing wrong with saying you have to check if you are available, especially if you are in demand.

Members Potts
It's all in the cloud...no more date books here. I just finally finished updating the last of the gigs on my Ipad last week. Obviously they get shared on the Iphone.
