Members Loves_LPs
Florida shall no longer be known as the "Sunshine State," but henceforth, shall be referred to as the "Plywood State." Get rid of the plywood. In a real bad storm it has a good chance of peeling off around the fastener or having the fasteners fail. Now that you've got a taste of what living in a statistically popular hurricane path is really like, move up to aluminum accordion shutters OR traditional wooden "Florida" shutters. Better than the expensive flush mount roll-ups, these two types can let your house breath with the pressure differences ( crack open a few windows), and they'll still provide excellent and quickly deployed protection for your windows and glass doors. Anyone else sick of all these hurricanes? Yep. I'm Palm Harbor, we got hammered pretty good yesterday. No phones, no electricity, a lot of large trees down. Members J.
Not to mention that the bedrock of Florida is mostly coquina, and the state is slowly sinking!
